Shaping a smoke-free future

Imagine a world where cigarettes no longer exist. The good news? It might be closer than we think. Regulation plays a key role in helping us to get there, and to get there faster. It should take into account developments in science and technology and allow adults who would otherwise continue smoking to learn about and access better alternatives to cigarettes.

Tobacco and nicotine products should be regulated. The question is how they should be regulated to protect unintended audiences such as youth but at the same time enable current adult smokers who do not quit, to switch to them, and leave cigarettes behind for good.
